The Function of a Circuit Breaker
A circuit breaker is an electrical switch that operates automatically to control or protect a generating unit. It controls circuits depending on operational needs and connects multiple generators for parallel applications. For protective use, a circuit breaker helps to detect and interrupt fault currents. It prevents an electrical circuit from being damaged caused by overload or a short circuit.

The Protection of a Circuit Breaker
To protect users against direct contact of exposed live parts of a circuit breaker, a barrier is firmly secured to separate the electrical cables. The barrier is made of wood with high stability and durability, and a tool must be needed to remove the barrier.
Additionally, if a generator set is placed in the countryside, there are chances that bugs and snakes may go inside the panel doors and damage the cables. In our containerised diesel generator sets, the barrier of the circuit breaker also helps prevent these small animals from entering the area inside the panel.
